5 Halal Gluten-free Eateries in Singapore

Whether you're looking for a place that caters to both halal and gluten-free dietary requirements, or simply planning a meal with family and friends who have different needs, finding a restaurant that ticks both boxes can feel surprisingly difficult.

Thankfully, there are a handful of places in Singapore that make it a little easier.

Some are fully halal-certified, while others are halal-friendly. As always, if you have coeliac disease, it’s worth having a quick chat with the staff about your specific needs before ordering.

Here are five spots worth adding to your list:

1. Cultivate Café 🌿

Cuisine: International
Address: 2 Cook Street, Maxwell Reserve, Singapore 078857
Safe rating: Dedicated gluten-free
Halal: Yes
Vegan/Vegetarian options: Dedicated vegan
Dairy-free options: Yes

Why it felt safe

A dream destination for gluten-free diners. Cultivate is entirely gluten-free, so there's no second-guessing ingredients or worrying about cross-contamination. Even better, tucked away inside Maxwell Reserve, the restaurant has an intimate, speakeasy-esque atmosphere that simply elevates every meal. Whether you're after brunch, lunch or just cake and coffee, this is one of the most reassuring (and indulgent) halal places to dine if you have coeliac disease.

2. The Daily Cut πŸ₯—

Cuisine: Salad / Grain Bowls / Healthy Bowls
Address: Multiple outlets across Singapore (Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar, Bugis)
Safe rating: Gluten-free friendly
Halal: Yes
Vegan/Vegetarian options: Yes (Build Your Own Bowl available)
Dairy-free options: Yes

Why it felt safe:
Allergens are clearly labelled throughout the menu, making it easy to build your own bowl with confidence. There are dedicated serving utensils for each ingredient, which helps reduce unnecessary cross-contact while assembling meals. (GF brownie points for being an affordable option in this economy)

3. Blu Kouzina πŸ«’

Cuisine: Greek
Address: Multiple locations (Dempsey, Siglap, Sentosa)
Safe rating: Gluten-free friendly
Halal: Halal-friendly (Food is halal, but alcohol is served.)
Vegan/Vegetarian options: Yes
Dairy-free options: Yes

Why it felt safe

Gluten-free options are clearly labelled on the menu, and the staff never seems surprised by gluten-free requests, which makes ordering feel much less stressful. Classics like dolmades, grilled meats, dips make gluten-free dining feel deliciously abundant, which is exactly why my sister and I keep coming back!

If your dining companions are comfortable with halal-friendly establishments that serve alcohol, this is an excellent option.

4. Pita Bakery πŸ₯™

Cuisine: Mediterranean
Address: 29 Bali Lane, Singapore 189865
Safe rating: Gluten-free friendly
Halal: Halal
Vegan/Vegetarian options: Dedicated vegan
Dairy-free options: Yes

Why it felt safe

Pita Bakery fries up delightful falafels which are traditionally made and happen to be gluten-free! While their speciality is PITA (red alert: gluten galore) - all the dips, salads and of course the falafels are gluten-free. You could order it to your home and arrange a bowl for yourself (which is what we ended up doing!).

I reached out to the team directly to better understand their ingredients and preparation methods (you may read their response here). As with any bakery handling large amounts of wheat, there is a higher risk of cross-contamination, so this option boils down to personal preference.

5. Delcie's Desserts & Cakes 🍰

Cuisine: Bakery & Desserts
Address: 34 Whampoa West, #01-83, Singapore 330034
Safe rating: Gluten-free friendly
Halal: Halal
Vegan/Vegetarian options: Yes
Dairy-free options: Yes

Why it felt safe

Delcie's has built a reputation around catering to different dietary requirements, including gluten-free options. It's one of the few places in Singapore where finding a celebratory cake that accommodates multiple dietary needs doesn't feel impossible.

They also have a small dining space - so don't wait for a special occasion! Pop by for a slice of cake and a cup of coffee on a lazy Saturday.

Concluding Thoughts

One of the nicest things about food is sharing it with the people around us. Dietary requirements shouldn't exclude anyone from that experience!

Whether you're planning a meal with Muslim friends, family members who are gluten-free, or simply looking for restaurants that cater thoughtfully to different dietary needs, I hope this list gives you a few more options to keep in your back pocket.

Looking for even more options? There are plenty of eateries in Singapore that are no pork, no lard but not halal-certified. If that works for your dining group, you'll find them (and many more gluten-free recommendations) in my FREE Gluten-Free Dining Guide Singapore.
